Since '06 I've been building folk instruments using materials not normally associated with "fine" instrument making (cigar boxes, cookie tins, wooden bowls, flea market finds and antique shop discoveries, hardware from my local hardware store, etc) .
For the past few years I have been steadily honing my luthier skills and refining the looks and sounds of my instruments. Lately, however, I've been concentrating on banjos - both Salad Bowl Banjos and Tackhead Banjos seem to be what players have been asking me to build them.
Please look around. Links to many of the instruments I've created can be found to the left. I've also posted plenty of photos and videos.
If you see something you'd like to know more about, please shoot me an email. Each instrument is genuinely one of a kind and I can attempt to customize anything you see here to suit your needs.
