In 2006 I began building folk instruments using materials not normally associated with "fine" instrument making (cigar boxes, cookie tins, wooden bowls, flea market finds and antique shop discoveries, hardware from my local hardware store, etc). Many of those early instruments can be found in the Vintage DCS section of this web page.
For the past few years I have been steadily honing my luthier skills and refining the looks and sounds of my instruments. I now concentrate on building Oldtime Banjos - both tackhead banjos and banjos with modern hardware.
Please look around. If you see something you'd like to know more about, feel free to contact me. Each instrument is genuinely one of a kind and I can attempt to customize anything you see here to suit your needs.
I plan to add a pricing guide to this web page soon. For now, If you have any questions, please let me know.
Jeff
