This banjo was custom ordered and the client specifically wanted a "tiger striped" maple neck. Along with that, he requested a 12" Dobson Tone Ring, Ashborn (wood flange) Pot, Peghed Tuners, Brass Hardware from Bill Rickard and a natural goat skin head. The curly maple was stained with Transtint "Vintage Maple" to help that curl to pop - and boy did it pop. Check out these two photos of the neck (before and after tinting)
